CME-01-HP: Fixed — Mobile, Voice — Date Convergence
Michael Hamerski, HP
Convergence involves a fundamental change in the way the communication world currently functions to support both the consumer and enterprise needs. The Convergent market is still in its infancy, the next five years will see a multitude of new services launched across the globe and new devices coming to the market.
The ecosystem is expanding beyond the equipment providers and operators to include handset vendors, standards committees, application developers and consumer electronics. The enabling technologies that are emerging are: WiFi, SIP, IMS, WMAX and UMA/GAN. This will require extensive investments in the supporting business processes and IT infrastructure.
The NonStop Division is an important component of HP's emerging IMS and Convergent Charging strategies.

We will share our customer experiences in building the Single Customer View for a Bank and a Telco. The application provided VIP Customer Management, Real Time offers at the Internet and ATM channels, Loans campaign management via email, SMS and voice calls. The solution provided 3DES passwords and encryption of the logging record as required by current security standards. The use of the configurable Workflow Engine reduced the customers development time for new projects.
CME-07-ISV: Mobile Signatures: Trusted Services and True Mobility with Unparalleled Security
Peter Ohman, Valimo Wireless Ltd
We are the midst of a business evolution towards mobile trusted services, enabled by the high penetration rate of handsets that are capable of performing mobile authentication and mobile signatures, combined with the rapidly increasing the number of services that are available through multiple channels and providers. On the other hand, the increasing number of security threats, concerns for the confidentiality and privacy of confidential information are major issues for today’s information society.
The Valimo Mobile Signature Service Platform (MSSP) enables strong, two factor authentication and non-repudiation of transactions, which is very important in an infrastructure with multiple service providers. Digital (mobile) signatures are the exclusive means for legally binding transactions and the best foundation for establishing trust between a service provider and customer using confidential value-added services.
CME-08-ISV: Voice - Still the Killer Application and the Largest Revenue Contributor for the Next Three to Five Years Raul Rodriguez, Integrated Telecom Solutions
In the quest for finding ways to increase average revenue per user in mobile networks, operators around the world concentrate their efforts in the introduction of data services, games and video. While this approach is very appealing to a specific segment of the subscriber base, voice still represents the killer application for all operators around the world. The secret for increasing voice related arpu is not in increasing subscribers in mature markets but in increasing their MOUs through clever revenue producing value added services. Intelligent Network based services provide a greater contribution to the bottom line. Integrated Telecom Solutions and HP deliver excellent economic results with the suite of IN services based on the NonStop platform.
Integrated Telecom Solutions generate hundreds of millions of dollars in some of our largest operators around the world, examples of rapid return of investment will be used to illustrate the value of ITS’ services to the bottom line.
CME-10-U: Mobilox; Driving is Non-Stop Information
Mobilox is an innovative communication and information system focussing on mobility of vehicles. Based on the location of the car on any time of its active usage and combining this information with location data and centralized detailed vehicle informationl. This data source enable's advanced way's of financing, insurance, fleetmanagement and roadtax payments. On a more broader plain this information will support traffic control and more detailed insight in local environmental aspects of mobility.
Mobilox brings fleetmanagement to a higher level. The car is connected. All the time, which is longer and longer, your are in the car you are part of a network. This network will enable more and more services.
Mobility is a centre point in policy on economics, taxes and environment. But exact data on it is not available. The system that continualy gathers information from all the driving mobilox cars runs (of course) on a Non-stop platform.
