HP Certified Professional Program at ITUG Summit 2006 |
This year at ITUG Summit 2006 in San Jose, CA. 15-18 October, HP in conjunction with ITUG, provided yet another fantastic Certified Professional Program for all attendees. This program had a strong presence at the conference and proved to be a great success.
The main purpose of the HP Certified Professional Program is to help HP certified professionals find access to all certification information, education content, benefits, and many NonStop related portals such as CP Connection, OneSource, and NTL.
Many individuals completed the credential requirements at the testing center by only having to take one or two exams, because of previous testing activities. There will most likely be an increase in NonStop Certified Professionals this year because of exam updates and additional content being added to the program around H-series systems. There will also be a marked increase because the process for becoming certified at any level has now become automatic in North America once candidates have completed the requirements for each level. (In the past candidates were required to complete an online application).
This year’s HP Certified Professional Program introduced new updates to exams and new Itanium elements. A total of 250 exams were delivered with a high passing rate, making Summit a prime place for HP and NonStop users to become certified. The total of individuals who took the exams was 72, 18 of which were from HP.
This program is a great example of ITUG’s partnership with HP. Together we deliver and provide value to both HP and the users. ITUG would like to incorporate this program in future ITUG conferences and we predict higher growth and participation moving forward.
